It’s that time of the year!! Strictly Jazz Entertainment presents the 7th Annual Pianos in the Park Jazz 2016 at the Historical W.C. Handy Park on Beale Street, Sunday September 4th, Labor Day Weekend. Gates open at 5pm. Show begins at 6pm. Come out for an enjoyable evening of Smooth Jazz with Keyboardist Tim Watson, Guitarist Nick Colionne, and Saxophonist Marcus Anderson.

How may I purchase tickets?

Please visit here to purchase tickets online. You may purchase tickets at the gate the day of the event.

When will the gates open?

Festival gates open at 5pm on Sunday, September 4th. This is approximately 60 minutes prior to showtime.

What happens if it rains?

Pianos in the Park is a Rain or Shine event. If we experience heavy rain showers, thunder and lightning prior to the gates opening, the event will be moved to the New Daisy Theater at 330 Beale Street. Visit our website for inclement weather updates. There are no refunds for inclement weather!

May I bring my children?

Absolutely. Pianos in the Park is a family-friendly event. Free admission for children 12 & under

May I bring my pets?

At this time, Pianos in the Park is not able to accommodate any pets or animals in W.C. Handy Park, with the exception of service animals.

Is there parking available?

Parking is located all around the venue. There is parking across the street from W. C. Handy Park at 249 Peabody Place (cash dropbox) and 250 Peabody Place (credit cards and cash).

What may I bring to W.C. Handy Park?

Lawn chairs, small blankets to occupy your personal space – please be courteous of your neighbors! Sunhats, sunscreen, and insect repellent are encouraged.

What is prohibited to bring to W.C. Handy Park?

Coolers, baskets, bottles or cans, camelbaks, canteens, bota bags, outside food and beverages – There are several places to purchase food and beverages in W.C. Handy Park Professional cameras and recording devices, Tents, canopies, umbrellas – We want everyone to enjoy the event and have a good view of the stage so tents, canopies and umbrellas are not allowed. Drugs and drug paraphernalia, weapons of any kind.

Will my things be inspected?

Yes, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for event attendees and staff. All items will be inspected. This includes chair bags, tote bags, purses, diaper bags and any and all other containers. Prohibited items (see above) will not be allowed. If you bring a prohibited item, an event staff member will ask you return it to your vehicle. Security may also ask you to shake out your blanket or jacket. Inspections will be done at all visitor entrances.
